Tian ImmigrationServices

About Us

People working together in a bright modern office.

Tian Immigration Services provides professional UK immigration support across major visa categories.

We offer structured guidance, document preparation support, and consultations where we are authorised to assist under IAA Level 1.

Immigration advice in the United Kingdom is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). Regulated casework here is undertaken only within IAA Level 1 permissions in the GOV.UK competence guidance, and only while your matter remains appropriate for that level.

Our clients include international students, skilled workers and their families, visitors, and long-term residents planning settlement or British citizenship. Many instruct us from outside the UK as well as from within.

We work in English and Chinese where helpful, and we take care to explain Home Office terminology in plain language — while still pointing you to official GOV.UK sources for fees, forms, and rule changes.

Our approach

  • We start with your deadline and the route you hope to use, then stress-test it against the Immigration Rules.
  • We flag weak evidence early so you can strengthen your file before paying visa fees.
  • We do not take on tribunal appeals, judicial review, or other work reserved to higher IAA levels or solicitors without transparent signposting.

We focus on:

  • Compliance-first communication
  • Clear service boundaries
  • Structured, transparent processes

Regulation & scope

We separate general website information from regulated immigration advice. Solicitors and IAA-authorised advisers at different levels fulfil different roles. If your matter becomes complex, discretionary, or needs tribunal or court work, we will signpost you to an appropriately authorised adviser or firm.

IAA Level 1 — what the rules typically allow (summary)

“Level 1” is defined in official GOV.UK competence guidance published by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). The points below are a short, plain-language summary for clients. They are not a substitute for reading the current guidance, which always prevails.

Examples of immigration work that may be permitted at Level 1 include:

  • Advice and assistance on basic applications for entry clearance, leave to enter, and leave to remain.
  • Some administrative review applications, except where the refusal was based on credibility or a fundamental issue of the genuineness of documents or relationships.
  • Straightforward applications to vary conditions attached to leave already granted (where the guidance permits this at Level 1).

Examples of work that is not permitted at Level 1 (non-exhaustive):

  • Lodging immigration tribunal appeals and substantive appeals work, including representations before courts or tribunals.
  • Judicial review.
  • Representations in relation to leave to enter or remain for illegal entrants or overstayers; applications for release from detention or to prevent removal or deportation, as described in Level 1 guidance.
  • Administrative review where the refusal was based on credibility or genuineness of documents or relationships.

Full, up-to-date rules: search GOV.UK for “Guidance on competence — summary of levels” (Immigration Advice Authority publications).

General information on this website is not immigration advice. Regulated advice is provided only with a clear agreement and within IAA Level 1.
