Tian ImmigrationSERVICES

Before you apply

What should you prepare for a UK visa consultation?

Start with your goal, dates, immigration history, a document list and the questions you need answered. You do not need to send a full set of sensitive documents with your first enquiry.

1. Start with your goal and important dates

Explain which visa you are considering, when you hope to travel and any relevant expiry or start dates. If a date is uncertain, say so rather than presenting an estimate as a confirmed deadline.

2. Prepare a short immigration history

List your current country and status, previous UK applications and any refusals. An accurate outline helps the adviser decide whether the matter is within their scope. Do not put document numbers in your first public enquiry.

3. List what you have and what is missing

A list of document types is enough initially: offer or CAS information, sponsor papers, relationship evidence, financial evidence or travel records. Agree a secure way to share documents after the service is confirmed.

4. Write down the questions you need answered

What work is included? What will you need to do yourself? Which documents need further checking? Are government charges included in the quote? A short question list helps keep the discussion focused.

5. Confirm the scope and fee before instructing

Check that the adviser can undertake the work and understand the written scope, fee and exclusions. Admission, sponsorship and immigration decisions are separate matters. This website offers visa and immigration services only.
