No. Website content is general information. Where we provide regulated immigration advice, it is only with your agreement and only within IAA Level 1 permissions described on our About page — not legal advice from a solicitor.
In the UK, providing regulated immigration or visa advice or services in the course of business, whether paid or unpaid, requires the qualifications or exemptions prescribed by law. Providing such services without being qualified or exempt is a criminal offence: the provider may face prosecution, a fine and/or imprisonment. Lawful providers include IAA-registered advisers and appropriately qualified professionals regulated by another approved professional body. Regulated services offer a verifiable scope of practice and applicable professional standards, complaints procedures and professional indemnity protections. Unqualified services may lack these safeguards, increasing the risk of harm to an application and difficulty recovering losses. This does not remove all of an applicant’s statutory rights: concerns can still be reported and applicable legal remedies pursued. Registration does not guarantee a visa outcome.
Read IAA guidance and find verification optionsSomeone without the appropriate qualifications may give incorrect advice, omit evidence or miss deadlines, leading to additional costs, delays or refusal. False documents or statements can also have serious consequences for current and future applications. Verify qualifications through official channels rather than relying on titles or promises. If problems arise, keep communication and payment records and report your concerns to the IAA or relevant regulator.
